With over two decades of wrestling experience, she has achieved notable accolades, including a National Championship title and a bronze medal at the University World Championships. Her martial arts journey encompasses successes in jiujitsu, MMA, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga. As a proud Marine Corps veteran, she made history as the first woman to wrestle for the USMC and served as a Second-Degree Martial Arts Instructor Trainer in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP). The self defense program is a 4-week program, with classes held every Sunday at 1:00 for one hour. After completing the program, you can participate in our intermittent courses, which are also one hour long and take place at 2:00 on Sundays. This allows for you to further develop your skills and stay engaged in your self-defense journey!
Our self defense program focuses on practical techniques tailored for women, emphasizing situational awareness, personal safety strategies, and effective physical skills. Classes are designed for all skill levels, promoting confidence and empowerment in real-life scenarios. Whether you're a beginner or have prior experience, you'll gain valuable tools to protect yourself and enhance your overall well-being.
No prior experience is required! Our program is suitable for beginners, and we provide step-by-step instruction to help you feel comfortable and confident as you learn.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that you don't mind getting stretched, torn, or stained. We recommend avoiding spaghetti straps or tank tops, as we want to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Additionally, please refrain from wearing jewelry or having long nails, and avoid hair bobbins to prevent any accidents during practice. It's also important to bring a metal water bottle to stay hydrated, and if applicable, a purse with a strap or a belt, as these items may be used in certain drills.
Our program is designed for women of all ages, from teens to adults. We adapt techniques to ensure they are appropriate and effective for each participant's age and physical abilities.
While some physical activity is involved, the program is designed to accommodate all fitness levels. We prioritize technique and safety over strength, ensuring that everyone can participate.
Our program not only teaches physical techniques for self defense but also focuses on building confidence, awareness, and assertiveness, helping women feel more empowered in their everyday lives.
